The Vice-President of India is to be head of the legislative function of acting as the Rajya Sabha. The Vice President of India is to be deputy of Indian president. The Vice-President must be a citizen of India and the qualifications for Vice-President are the same as those for President. The Vice President India is elected for five years. Servepalli Radha Krishnan was the first Vice President of India and Mohammed Hamid Ansari is the current Vice President of India.
